TREKKING ROUTE:
Our trip begins June 12th, 2009 and will come to an end on June 12th, 2010. We plan to visit Europe, North Africa, Southeast Asia, Australia, and South America. We will be living with families, staying in youth hostels, visiting friends, taking part in local traditions, and doing our best to learn about each and every culture we visit.
- We fly into Dublin, Ireland where we will explore for a few days. We will plan to visit a group of people Chelsea student taught with, who live around Ireland. We will fly from Dublin to London to meet Jayme’s old college roommate, Meghan. From London we will travel using our Unlimited Global Eurail Pass to visit as many European countries as possible.
- In mid August, we depart to Cairo, Egypt where we have scheduled a seventeen-day tour of Egypt and Jordan. We will visit the pyramids, travel down the Nile River on a Felucca, take a donkey ride to the Valley of the Kings, snorkel in The Red Sea, climb Mt. Sinai, and wonder through the majestic ruins of ancient Petra.
- From there we fly into Mumbai, India. We are planning on traveling to Rishikesh for a ten day Meditation and Yoga retreat. Believe it or not, the two of us will be taking a vow of silence! We will travel to Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Phillipines, Indonesia, and Singapore. We would like to take an Asian cooking class during our stay in Thailand.
- After spending three months in Southeast Asia we will enjoy the cleanest city in the world for a few days before flying to Australia in mid November.
- We have applied for work visas in Australia where we will live and work for four months. We will be staying with Jayme’s friends who she met during an exchange program in 2001. We hope to snorkel The Great Barrier Reef, visit Alice Springs, and take a trip up North to Darwin. We will leave Australia in mid March and fly to New Zealand for a few weeks.
- In New Zealand we are looking forward to role playing Lord of the Rings while galavanting through the countryside. In our spare time, we hope to take part in some of the outdoor activities that attract so many travelers each year. ie; bungee jumping, rafting, and hiking. From there we then depart to Santiago, Chile.
- We will zig zag our way north through South America for roughly two months. Visiting Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, and Peru. We are hoping Jayme’s father will meet us in Peru to hike and explore Machu Picchu. We will depart from Lima, Peru to Guatemala city.
- We will spend a few weeks in Guatemala. We plan to live in Antigua and take Spanish classes. We will visit Tikal, Lake Atitlan, and Volcan Pacaya on the weekends when we are not in school.
- Our trip willcome to an end at home 365 days later in Denver, Colorado.

Hi Girls,
I saw your note up on a bulletin at Hostel V/Pagration in Athens so I thought I’d check you out. I’m doing a similar trip with my boyfriend at the moment. I’ll be curious to read where you’re been. Best of luck.

Hi Lady-Loo!
I was just thinking about you today and spent a few minutes reading through your website. It sounds like you are getting settled in Australia and loving it. Now you have just 4 months to find your Australian Mate
